Abington @ Coatesville 6:45 PM
Tonight, the Abington Ghosts boys basketball team travels to Chester County to take on Coatesville. Coatesville comes in at 20-5, with a perfect 14-0 record in conference play, ranked 18th in the state, and the three seed in the PIAA District 1 tournament. The Ghosts come in with a 18-6 record, 9-3 in conference play, 31st ranked in the state, and the #6 seed. The Ghosts and Red Raiders have lots of history in the District 1 playoffs, with the two schools matching up twice in the championship game in both 2017 and 2019. The 2019 game goes down as one of the greatest games in Abington history, with the Ghosts winning in overtime off of a 38 point performance from Eric Dixon. The 2017 contest was lower scoring, this time with Robbie Heath leading the way with 30 points, 14 of those coming in the 4th quarter. The 2026 version of the Ghosts hope to repeat history and move onto the Final Four, where they would play the winner of tonight’s 7:00 game between 7th seed Spring-Ford and 2nd seed Methacton. Go Ghosts!
