For the first time since 2023, Abington boys lacrosse is in the district playoffs. They face Council Rock South, a matchup that took place in the 2nd round of boys basketball playoffs this winter. Abington is 10-7 overall, with a 6-3 conference record, while South is 12-5 overall with a 7-2 conference record. The Ghosts are ranked 70th in district 3A, 129th in the state, and 1587th in the country. On the other side, CR South is ranked 34th in district 3A, 55th in the state, and 616th in the country. The Golden Hawks took down the Ghosts 13-7 in March, but a strong end to the season for Abington could change things up this time around. The winner of this matchup moves on to face 6 seed Spring-Ford in the second round. I spoke with Coach Duffy before the contest to get some insight on the matchup.

Coach Duffy: We need to win the ground ball battle and shut down their star players. We need sound fundamentals to win this game
