The Championship round started slowly, with Jarrett Stidham and his Broncos flailing against Drake Maye on a mediocre game by Maye. But this game proved enough to have Maye reach the Super Bowl in Santa Clara. On the other end, the Seahawks pulled out a thriller to make the Super Bowl, with both Sam Darnold and Matthew Stafford playing at their peak, both putting up 300 yards, but Darnold making it out in the end. The Super Bowl is now set for February 8th.

Patriots @ Seahawks 6:30 PM NBC

The Seahawks are looking hot after defeating the Rams, with Sam Darnold putting up the best performances of his own career, trying to pin the final nail into the comeback of his career. On the other side, Drake Maye looks to solidify a new dynasty in New England. Along with Maye, Stefon Diggs has had a career revival in New England after an unsuccessful stint in Houston. Maye is helped by an outstanding defensive lineup, including defensive tackle Milton Williams and corner stud Christian Gonzalez, who has been sealing the fort for the Patriots the entire season. For the Seahawks, wide receivers JSN and trade deadline acquire Rasheed Shaheed have played outstandingly (Shaheed had a massive kick return during the San Francisco game to kickstart a huge victory for the Seahawks), while running back Kenneth Walker has filled the hole made by running back Zach Charbonnet’s injury. But it’s time for my prediction. I believe the Seahawks will win this game, and their offense is just better constructed. Both defenses will be at the top of their game, but the Seahawks and Darnold can get past the New England defense, finding a late touchdown to seal a close battle.

Super Bowl MVP: Sam Darnold

Darnold has fought a long fight to get where he is. From the ghosts he saw on the Jets to his diagnosis of Mononucleosis, Darnold finally fought his way as a starter again on the Minnesota Vikings, where he had a standout season ending in a Rams blowout, but he showed out in Seattle, propelling the Seahawks to a super bowl run for the 4th time in team history, and with at least a competent performance he should be able to bring a super bowl MVP trophy home with him.
