Northwestern goes bowling

Apparently they made a bowl game in 2023, but who cares. When the surrounding seasons cap out at 4 wins and bottom at a horrendous 1-11 2022 campaign, this is a breath of fresh air. Running back Caleb Komolafe had 131 total yards and two touchdowns and the Wildcats took down Minnesota at Wrigley Field on a walk off missed field goal. 

ACC championship chaos

This conference is absolute madness. After Pitt upset Georgia Tech last week, the path to the ACC championship in Charlotte is wide open for many teams. Let’s take a look at the scenarios.

Virginia: The Cavs are win and in, but would also get in with SMU, NC State, and Syracuse losses. They can probably count on the latter, but I’ll get into that later.

SMU: Also win and in, but if the Mustangs can’t get the job done, they’ll need wins from Wake Forest,UNC,Miami, and Virginia 

Pitt: The Panthers need to win, then one of SMU or Virginia need to lose

Miami: Here’s a complicated one.

1. Win+ Virginia Tech and Wake Forest/NC State wins
2. Win+ Cal Wake Forest, and NC State wins

Duke: The Blue devils need to win themselves, then get some help from Miami and Virginia Tech, then wins from either Cal or UNC.

Georgia Tech: It’s not over till it’s over! GT doesn’t need to take down the Bulldogs and can get in off the backs of other teams. They need Cal and Virginia Tech to win, then either Wake Forest or Miami to win, with the Wake Forest route being the most likely.

The most likely matchup is SMU vs Virginia, but with how this conference is, I have a hard time believing that the likely scenario takes place.

Notre Dame vs Syracuse

I wasn’t checking in on this game until I checked the scores later on. I thought there was an error. The Irish put up 70 unanswered on Syracuse, including 21 before the offense stepped on the field. But hey Syracuse, it could’ve been worse! At least it wasn’t a shutout! Joseph Filardi snuck into the endzone late in the game to make the final score 70-7. A power 4 team got 70 points put up on them. Just focus on basketball guys.

Texas A&M vs interim coaches

A&M has played 5 teams who have fired their coaches this year. Hugh Freeze from Auburn, Billy Napier from Florida, Sam Pittman at Arkansas, Brian Kelly at LSU, and finally, Chris Hatcher at Samford. Best team in the country though, right? 

Best of week 14: 

Last season we got what might have been the best rivalry week ever. Hopefully we can get a fraction of that this week
