UNT is ranked in the top 25 for the first time since 1959, breaking the longest streak in football. For context, in 1959, they didn’t even have a top 25. It was the top 20. The team that now holds the title for longest top 25 drought is New Mexico State, which hasn’t been ranked since 1960, when they finished at #17.

This team is not legit, and I won’t believe they are until they’re holding the National Championship. Yes, the comeback was impressive, but why were they down 27 to South Carolina in the first place? The Gamecocks are 1-7 in conference play, and teams like Oklahoma and Ole Miss have beaten them convincingly. And who might be playing them in the quarter finals, according to the ESPN bracket? Ole Miss. Not great. 

SEC week 13

Alabama is playing Eastern Illinois. Texas A&M is playing Samford. Auburn is playing Mercer. I don’t care if they’re the best conference; I’ll never respect them.
