Week 5 was a contentious week in the NFL. The Panthers won in the final seconds of a shootout with the Dolphins, while the Patriots and Broncos both upset the Bills and the Eagles, the final remaining undefeated teams, to drop them both to 4-1. Craziest of all was the last-minute trip up touch down by Trevor Lawrence to upset Kansas City and bring his Jaguars to 4-1. The beginning of week 5 was an off-guard blowout by the Giants on top of the Eagles’ heads, bringing the Giants’ second win and Eagles’ second loss, beginning a new week in the NFL, with anything being able to happen.
Week 5 record: 7 – 6
Broncos (3-2) at Jets (0-5) 9:30 AM, NFL Network
Another International game will occur in week 5, with the Denver Broncos playing the New York Jets in London. While the Jets have had a disappointing 0-5 start in 2025, the Broncos have come off two straight wins, including a comeback upset over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Broncos will ride high off their win next week, and my prediction is that they blow out a sorry Jets team, but the Jets will find a way to somehow make the game close inside of the fourth, still losing in the end..

Seahawks (3-2) at Jaguars (4-1) 1:00 PM, FOX
While the Seahawks have looked strong the last couple of weeks, even in a last-minute loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Jaguars looked like the team to beat inside the AFC. My prediction is that the Jaguars, riding high from beating the Chiefs, will beat a hard-fought game against Seattle.
JAX 30 – 23 SEA
Chargers (3-2) at Dolphins (1-4) 1:00 PM CBS
The Chargers come in on another painful NFC East loss to the Commanders, losing the hold on a close game to get blown up. The Dolpins stumbled to a blown lead against the Panthers to lose their 4th game of the Season. I believe that the Chargers will find their groove again, against a non – NFC east team, and Herbert will get his get back.
 LAC 35 – 13 MIA
Rams (3-2) at Ravens (1-4) 1:00 PM FOX
The Ravens are weak; that is all that needs to be known. Cooper Rush is not a good starting quarterback, as his 3-interception start exemplified. While the Ravens have struggled, the Rams have also dealt with struggles, exemplified in an overtime loss to the 49ers. But the Rams should be able to beat a bad Ravens team.
LAR 45 – 14 BAL
Cardinals (2-3) at Colts (4-1)Â 1:00 PM FOX
The Cardinals are in the middle of a 3 game losing streak, all in painful fashion, while the Colts steamrolled the Las Vegas raiders in week 5. Daniel Jones (1290 yds, (3rd in NFL), 79.7 qbr (1st in NFL)) can be able to defeat a struggling cardinals team, most likely by some game winning kick or play, against the Cardinals
IND 30 – 27 ARZ
Cowboys (2-2-1) at Panthers (2-3) 1:00 PM FOX
The Cowboys, after a blowout against the New York Jets, set their eyes upon the Carolina Panthers, who mounted a surprise comeback against the 1-4 Dolphins, landing the Panthers at 2-3. While their records may look similar, the Cowboys play this year has far outmatched that of the Panthers, causing me to believe the Cowboys will blowout the home team in Carolina.
DAL 40 – 10 CAR
Patriots (3-2) at Saints (1-4) 1:00 CBS
Â
Even though the Saints took a lead over the Giants and earned their first win of the season, the Patriots are by far the better team. Drake Maye (273 yd against Buffalo) gained a surprise win inside of Buffalo, upsetting the undefeated team to 4-1. The hype from the last game will help the Patriots blow out the struggling Saints.
NE 37 – 7 NO
Browns (1-4) at Steelers (3-1) 1:00 PM FOX
Dillon Gabriel started in Week 5 and started out strong, even in a loss to the Vikings, but the Steelers have also been able to pull off many close wins. With a serviceable performance by both Aaron Rodgers and D.K. Metcalf, and the defense holding the fort, I believe this will be another close win for Pittsburgh.
PIT 20 – 17 CLEÂ
Titans (1-4) at Raiders (1-4) 4:05 CBS
The Titans grabbed their first win in a last-second field goal, while the Raiders had been blown out by a strong Colts team. The Titans are trying to ride off on their first win, and the Raiders have looked deflated throughout the 2025 season. The Titans can win this game, most likely through Cam Ward’s talent
TEN 13 – 7 LVR
49ers (4-1) at Buccaneers (4-1) 4:25 PM FOX
The 49ers, when Mac Jones has been a starting quarterback, have been a hard team to beat, only going down to the 4-1 Jaguars. While the 49ers have done well, the Buccaneers are a very resilient, talented roster that can be able to bring Mac Jones his 1st loss of the 2025 season while active.
TB 24 – 21 SF
Lions (4-1) at Chiefs (2-3) 8:20 PM NBC
The Chiefs go into Week 6 with their first 2-3 start since 2021, losing in a close game to the Jacksonville Jaguars led by Trevor Lawrence. The Lions, on the other hand, have been undefeated since a sad loss to the Green Bay Packers, and have improved their game to a form like last year’s team. This can help the Lions to win in Kansas City.
DET 30 – 20 KC
Bills (4-1) at Falcons (2-2) 7:15 PM NBC
The Bills, after a disappointing loss to the Patriots, seek the save their souls by trying to beat up a weak Falcons team. The Falcons last week had a bye after beating the Commanders, and the Bills are a tough task to try to beat even with an extra week off, making my choice that the Bills will come into Atlanta and blow their hats off.
BUF 35 – 13 ATL
Bears (2-2) at Commanders (3-2) Monday 8:15 PM ABCÂ
The Commanders won against the Chargers last week, getting their groove back after going down to the Falcons, putting their record to above .500. In the NFC North, the Bears went on off last week after narrowly beating the 1-4 Raiders. This is also a the first game the Bears and Commanders have played since Jayden Daniels infamous hail mary that almost tanked Chicago’s season, giving Chicago even more of a mission to win in Washington. Caleb Williams, adding his extra week and post 200 yard game, will be able to take down a Commanders team with a missing identity.
CHI 30 – 27 WAS
Week 5 MVP: Josh Allen
After a loss against New England, Allen should be able to make up for his last game in circles against a bad Falcons defense, and be able to gain control of his team and their record.
Game of the Week: Bears at Commanders
The aura of a rematch of last years hail mary comes to mind when thinking about this game. Caleb Williams will have to avenge his team and come out on top of a struggling Washington team.
This week is full of rematches and possible get backs for teams. Week 6 will be a week of opportunity.
