Week 4 record: 7 – 7 – 1
Week 4 was interesting and surprising inside the NFL. The Cowboys and Packers completed the first tie of the 2025 NFL season, while the Giants had a surprise beating of the Justin Herbert-led Chargers, led by rookie Jaxson Dart. The week began with a close game between the 49ers and Rams, with the 49ers winning in overtime by a 4th and 1 stop on Kyren Williams, securing the first victory of week 5 and improving to 4 – 1. Week 5 may hold some tough games and may cause some heads to turn throughout these games.
Vikings (2-2) at Browns (1-3) 9:30 AM, NFL Network
The first game of week 5 begins in London. The Minnesota Vikings put up a good effort but fell to Pittsburgh 21-24. They have a chance to make it up against a flailing Browns team, starting the rookie Dillon Gabriel from the University of Oregon. This game could be a toss-up, but I believe Minnesota has the better roster and should win this game, even with the efforts of 3rd round pick Dillon Gabriel.
MIN 23 – 13 CLE
Texans (1-3) at Ravens (1-3) 1:00 PM, CBS
While Lamar Jackson and the Ravens were blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, they do look much better than a struggling Texans team, with CJ Stroud, even in a win, still not able to find his grip on the team. This exemplifies why the Ravens will find their way to 2-3 and the Texans will keep on struggling.
BAL 35 – 10 HOU
Dolphins (1-3) at Panthers (1-3) 1:00 PM FOX
Even though the Panthers had a blowout win in week 3, they were manhandled by a young Patriots team, showing that this Panthers team is not serious. While the Dolphins have not looked like a great team, they are definitely the better roster, and with Tua Tagovailoa working hard to keep his team intact, the Dolphins will come on top in a close, low-scoring game
MIA 13 – 10 CAR
Raiders (1-3) at Colts (3-1) 1:00 PM FOX
This one should not be hard. Even though a mistake dropped by Adonai Mitchell caused the Colts to lose in Week 4, Daniel Jones still dropped an amazing game on the Rams’ head, and I believe that the Colts should blow out a Raiders team with little identity, even though Ashton Jeanty’s (155 yd, 3 td) breakout game could cause the Colts’ defense some issues.
IND 40 – 14 LV
Giants (1-3) at Saints (0-4) 1:00 PM CBS
After the Giants’ surprise win against the Chargers, they look to beat the 0-4 Saints, who hold the crown as the only 0-4 team in the NFC, led by a struggling Spencer Rattler. The Dart led Giants should be able to beat a bad Saints team, but it should be close
NYG 20 – 13 NO
Cowboys (1-2-1) at Jets (0-4) 1:00 PM FOX
The Cowboys look to blow out the winless Jets, led by a Justin Fields who has not found a hole in the team to fit himself inside of. After a 319-yard, 3 TD performance by Dak Prescott, I believe this Dallas team can take the engines out of Justin Fields’ jet.
DAL 28 – 7 NYJ
Broncos (2-2) at Eagles (4-0) 1:00 CBS
The Broncos have not been able to find the magic they captured in the 2024 season, as they have started with a mediocre start, only breaking out for their 2nd win in week 4 against an embarrassing Bengals defense. The Eagles have kept their hot streak on as the only undefeated team in the NFC, causing them to have the upper hand on a weak Broncos team led by Bo Nix and stay undefeated, even though the game will be close.
PHI 30 – 23 DEN
Titans (0-4) at Cardinals (2-2) 4:05 PM FOX
Through the first 4 weeks, Cam Ward has looked like the only hope inside of a depressed Titans team, weak on both sides of the ball. But the Cardinals have looked good, but are also beatable by teams worse than them, due to their mediocre performances. Even though I was wrong about this last week, I believe the Titans can achieve their first season win in Glendale.
TEN 20 – 17 ARZ
Buccaneers (3-1) at Seahawks (3-1) 4:05 CBS
Even though the Buccaneers went down to the Eagles last week, they made a hard effort and ended the game with a close score, showing they are serious about winning, especially since Emeka Egbuka was locked down last game, only having 6 yards outside of a single breakout touchdown. He can have a significant game to win against an overachieving Seahawks team.
TB 24 – 20 SEA
Lions (3-1) at Bengals (2-2) 4:25 PM FOX
Since Joe Burrow had a season-ending injury early on, Jake Browning has not been living up to Burrow’s play. The Bengals’ defense, as was true last year, has not been playing well, giving up large amounts of points to bad teams. The Lions are known as one of the most competent offensive teams inside the NFL, and one of the better defenses as well, and will beat the Bengals by a large margin due to the team’s skill gaps.
DET 42 – 10 CIN
Commanders (2-2) at Chargers (3-1) 4:25 PM CBS
The Chargers lost an embarrassing close loss to the Jaxson Dart-led Giants, but almost mounted a comeback at the end of the game. This causes me to have hope for a Chargers team that has looked good until this game, who are playing a depressed Commanders team that lost to a bad-looking Falcons squad, supporting my belief that the Chargers will come back Sunday and beat the Commanders.
LAC 27 – 13 WAS
Patriots (2-2) at Bills (4-0) 8:20 PM NBC
The Patriots were able to destroy the Panthers last Sunday, 42 – 10, with Drake Maye giving a 14-17, 203 yd, 2 td performance for New England. But, they are going head-on into the only undefeated AFC team, the Buffalo Bills, led by the best-performing quarterback inside of the NFL at the moment, Josh Allen. The Bills should be able to beat New England due to the power of their own roster, especially Allen.
BUF 45 – 13 NE
Chiefs (2-2) at Jaguars (3-1) Monday 8:15 PM ABC
The Jaguars’ defense has been a black horse standout defense throughout the first 4 weeks of the 2025 season. On both sides of the ball, the team has been playing well, which has led to them being 3-1 and achieving a hard win against a fellow 3-1 team in the 49ers, with Travis Hunter grabbing his first interception. The Chiefs have not been able to do much until last week, when they caused the Baltimore Ravens to implode last Sunday. Even with the implosion they caused, the Jaguars are a hotter team at the moment, and Trevor Lawrence should be able to lead his team to a week 5 win.
JAX 32 – 27 KC
Week 5 MVP: Trevor Lawrence
Right now, I am banking on Trevor to be able to get a good win against a well-performing team, especially a team that will be a playoff threat for them. I believe that Trevor will surprise people and come out with a win and quality performance in Jacksonville
Game of the Week: Jacksonville vs. Kansas City
This week is set up to be full of knocking down weaker teams by stronger ones, but some of these games may be full of surprises as well, as happened last week.
