Turns out Georgia Tech was underrated
Who ever would’ve thought that? A team with Elite RB Jamal Haynes, star WR Malik Rutherford (pictured above), a QB who plays the game like he has wear and tear turned off, star FIU transfer Eric Rivers, and an easy schedule would actually be pretty good! Wow, whoever predicted that must know a lot about football! I’m really enjoying this season if you couldn’t tell.
Georgia wins at Neyland
The new Georgia Bulldogs aren’t a team that’ll beat you by 60 like their national championship winning units from years prior. They just win, and this game is the prime example of that.
A&M wins a ranked game?
I’m pretty sure this is a sign of the end times.
A non-conference game between two teams from the same conference?
Kansas State, a Big 12 team, traveled to Arizona, a Big 12 team, to play a non conference game. What? Well, back when this game was scheduled, they didn’t account for the wild realignment of the last few years that has shook college sports. Back in the good old days when this game was scheduled, Arizona was in the Pac 12 (RIP) and Kansas State was in the Big 12. Obviously, a non conference game, so both teams went ahead and scheduled their conference matchups. If you were wondering why it wasn’t just changed to a conference game, conference games are an important tiebreaker for conference championships, and one of these teams playing an extra one would give them an unfair advantage. Arizona won 23-17, starting off the season 3-0, while plummeting Kansas State to 1-3. It seems like the Dublin curse that afflicted Florida State (now #7 in the week 4 AP Poll) last season has now struck the Wildcats. Might be something to look into for next season with TCU and North Carolina, which is the NCAA’s new favorite matchup for some reason, heading to Ireland in 2026.
Villanova WR Brandon Binkowski turns into Odell Beckham Jr to ruin gamblers days
Bad day to be a Penn State spread bettor. It was a pretty reasonable bet to make, with Penn State finishing off their embarrassingly easy start to the year against FCS Villanova. As expected, Penn State cruised. They were up 52-0, covering the 48.5 point spread. Villanova had the ball, but they weren’t doing anything! Gamblers celebrated an easy win to start the Saturday slate. Then Villanova did something. With 8 SECONDS LEFT, Brandon Binkowski made a ridiculous one handed catch in the back of the endzone. Penn State wins by 46. Parlays across Pennsylvania are ruined. Drew Allar is still carried by Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen.
Top 5 games of Week 4
Last week’s record: 0-0 (Wasn’t writing about week 2)
1.#22 Auburn @ #11 Oklahoma
Jackson Arnold returns to Norman for a top 25 matchup against his old team.
My pick: Oklahoma
- #9 Illinois @ #19 Indiana
If Illinois wants to be considered a legit playoff threat, they have to win this game.
My pick: Indiana
3.Florida @ Miami
Florida might have the best state rivalry matchups in the sport. Especially in years like this where Miami, Florida State, USF, and Florida are all strong teams.
My pick: Miami
4.Texas Tech @ Utah
It wouldn’t be a College Football season without Utah hovering around the 15-25 ranks. Sad they won’t be there for much longer.
Pick: Texas Tech
5.Arkansas @ Memphis
Nice start for the Hogs. Hopefully it doesn’t end like baseball did in Omaha
Pick: Arkansas
