Lee Corso goes out on top
“It’s enough to make a grown man cry”. For me and many others, we don’t know College Football without Lee Corso. Some of my fondest memories of CFB Saturday’s are waking up early for gameday, concluding with Coach Corso putting on an oversized head of his mascot of choice. Lee made 6 picks in his final show, those being Ohio State (his final headgear pick shown on the thumbnail), Tennessee, Florida State (his alumni), LSU, South Carolina, and Miami. 6/6. Perfection. But it gets better. Lee Corso played college football at Florida State who, as you’ll read about later, won on Saturday. Corso would then go on to coach at Maryland, Navy, Louisville, Indiana, and NIU. ALL OF THESE TEAMS WON IN WEEK 1. It doesn’t get any better than this. Thank you Lee Corso!
THE TIDE GET ROLLED
Who could’ve possibly thought that the team with questionable coaching and QB play with questions all over the roster wouldn’t live up to their #8 ranking? Oh yeah. Just don’t look at my prediction for this game. Anyways, being proved right immediately is fun. Watching Tommy Castellanos tear up Alabama to the tune of an electric crowd in Tallahassee was absolutely beautiful. That being said, it’s far from over for the Tide. Alabama is loaded with talent, and if DeBoer can pull together the locker room, they can still rally to the CFP. I don’t see it happening, obviously, but it’s not impossible!
LSU wins the title of “Death Valley”
Brian Kelly killed a kid. RIP Declan Sullivan. https://www.espn.com/college-football/news/story?id=5744730
Evan Simon throws 6 touchdowns in Temple win
After another horrific season of Temple season last year, Owls fans might actually have something to be excited about! If nothing else, they got one watchable game from Temple football, and those are rare in the post Matt Rhule era.
Top 5 games of week 2
We went from one of the best weeks of College football to one of the worst SO fast. Last week I went 1-4, hopefully I’ll do a bit better this week.
- Michigan @ Oklahoma
2025 #1 prospect Bryce Underwood threw for 251 yards, can he keep it up vs the Oklahoma defense that only allowed 34 passing yards in week 1? Yes.
My pick: Michigan
2.Iowa @ Iowa State
The 72nd Cy-Hawk game since 1894

Both teams looked good last week, but I don’t trust a basketball school to play football

4.Vanderbilt @ Virginia Tech
Vandy was a finalist for my “underrated” pick
