On February 4th, 2024, fans all across the world thought that Taylor Swift would release Reputation (Taylor’s Version). That morning, Swift had turned her Midnights profile picture black and white. Fans thought for sure this meant Rep was on the way. However, we were once again tricked by Taylor’s unwavering love for a dramatic effect. A new album, The Tortured Poet’s Department was announced to come out on April 19th of this year! However, some fans are a bit curious about the name. Throughout her whole career, Taylor really only used one word for her albums. Going through the list, TTPD is quite a mouthful in comparison to the others. Fans speculate that TTPD will carry the vibes of Folklore with a drop of dark academia. Taylor Swift told the media that she had been keeping The Tortured Poets Department a secret for two years and is finally excited to release it into the world. The album will have 17 tracks with an additional track, The Manuscript, only on physical copies of the album. Personally, I can’t wait to see this new era of Taylor Swift music unfold.
